Subject: Corrupted CLOSE Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2007 10:02:28 -0400 From: "Seto, Pak-lung" <pak-lung.seto@intel.com> To: <t10@t10.org> Cc: "Seto, Pak-lung" <pak-lung.seto@intel.com> X-Message-Number: 7945 Formatted message: HTML-formatted message After an SSP initiator device transmitted a CLOSE primitive and the CLOSE from the target device got corrupted when the attached expander forwards the CLOSE to the initiator. From the Initiator's point of view, the connection still open but from the target device and the expander point of view, the connection has been closed. So, when the expander sends a BROADCAST to the initiator, should the initiator drop the BROADCAST or accept it? The BROADCAST primitive can be used as an indirect indication of the connection is closed in the waiting for close state. Pak Seto Intel
