Hi John,
This new Emeritus Membership category from INCITS came at an opportune time for me. Occasionally, usually with some liberally applied serendipity, unexpected good things happen and this is one of those for me.
T10 was my original INCITS involvement so it is somehow fitting that it be the first committee to grant me Emeritus Membership.
I hope that I can continue to be of value to T10 in the future.
Thank you and the membership of T10 for this honor. And expecially thanks for the unanimous support. I am not sure that I recall very many unanimous agreements for the work I have been involved with in T10 in the past.
Working with the folks in T10 is an addictive experience and I will miss it. INCITS technical committees bring together the best minds in the business in a healthy forum where the truth, as best as we can discover it at the time with acceptable engineering accuracy, usually comes out. The process for extracting this truth can be exquisitely aggravating and is not for the impatient, not for the parochially focused, and not for the faint of intellectual heart.

The INCITS Executive Board approves the INCITS/T10 nomination of Mr. Bill Ham for emeritus membership on INCITS/T10.
Vote on the motion: unanimous consent
The motion passed.
Action Item (a07.072): The INCITS/T10 Chairman will be notified of the EB's approval of T10's nomination of Mr. Bill Ham for emeritus membership on INCITS/T10.
