Subject: Aborting ELS Sequences (FC-LS Rev 1.62) Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2007 14:01:12 -0800 From: "Gil Romo" <gil.romo@qlogic.com> To: <t10@t10.org> X-Message-Number: 7551 Formatted message: HTML-formatted message Greetings, A list included in 4.2.2 Sequence and Exchange management contains two rules that seem to address the same condition and nearly the same actions: h) If the Sequence Initiator attempts to abort a Sequence using ABTS and it detects an E_D_TOV waiting for the ACK frame in response to the ABTS, it shall abort the Exchange using ABTSLS, if conditions permit, and retry the original ELS with a different Exchange; and i) If the Sequence Initiator attempts to abort a Sequence using ABTS-LS and it detects an E_D_TOV waiting for the ACK frame in response to the ABTS-LS, it may retry the original ELS with a different Exchange. Is there duplication here? If not already done, can someone please address this? Regards, Gil
