Subject: Reception & Weather Info for next week's T10 meetings Date: Wed, 10 Jan 2007 20:17:17 -0500 From: "Roger Cummings" <roger_cummings@symantec.com> To: <t10@t10.org>, <stds-p1619@LISTSERV.IEEE.ORG> X-Message-Number: 7477 Formatted message: HTML-formatted message Folks, Symantec will be pleased to host a reception during next week's T10 meetings at the Marriott Orlando Lake Mary hotel. The reception will be held from 7 to 9pm on Wednesday in Ballroom FGH at the hotel, and all attendees and spouses are welcome. There will be a dinner buffet with two entrees, salad and dessert, and there will also be a carvery. There will be a bar at the reception but it will be a CASH bar. My apologies for this, but when I was setting up the arrangements for this hosting in late 2005 our merger was still being worked out, and I was told there was some "legal" impediments to serving alcohol at a company function. The fact that this way of doing things allows me to be lazy and not have to count attendees or issue drinks tickets has nothing whatsoever to do with it. :-)) Also, a quick word about the weather. Like many places, Orlando has been having weird weather lately, and for example last weekend the temperature got up to 85 degrees F with fairly high humidity - most unusual here for this time of year. In the last few days, the weather has been more typical - high near 70, low humidity & sunny. For next week the forecast is generally good and sunny, with daytime highs near 80 and overnights lows near 60 Sunday and Monday, and thereafter highs of 60 and overnight lows near 50. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday. I will send another message on Friday with latest information about road construction & driving directions.
