Based on problems uncovered while implementing SAS-1.1 Transport
Layer Retries via the Protocol-Specific Logical Unit mode page, 
I've posted a new proposal 07-027r0 that defines a new method for 
enabling and disabling that feature - a field in the frame header 
of the COMMAND and TASK frames.
The proposal also adds a Protocol-Specific VPD page to SPC-4.
If you're interested in SAS tape drives, HBA firmware/drivers, or
software that accesses tape drives, please review this proposal.
